ECO Window Systems Windows & Doors in Westchester, FL | Winslow Windows & Doors

We’re Winslow Windows & Doors, and we provide independent ECO Window Systems service across Westchester, FL. What sets our ECO Window Systems work apart here is simple: we know how these products fail in a High Velocity Hurricane Zone, and we chase the Miami-Dade NOA paperwork on every replacement so your retrofit actually passes inspection. If you’ve got an ECO window or door acting up in Westchester, call (863) 251-5864 and Ed Winslow’s crew will sort it out.

Call (863) 251-5864

We’ve been retrofitting ECO Window Systems products into Westchester’s concrete-block ranches for years. Not as a manufacturer rep, not as a corporate installer. As your neighbors. Learn more about our ECO Window Systems sales & service work across the region, then call us for an honest read on what’s worth fixing and what’s worth replacing.

Why Westchester Residents Choose Us for ECO Window Systems Service

Ed Winslow was born and raised in Miami, trained through Miami Dade College’s Building Construction Technology program, and spent years in the field before putting his own name on the truck. Westchester has been his crew’s backyard for years, from quiet cul-de-sacs near Bird Road to older ranch homes tucked off the Palmetto. When we say we know ECO Window Systems products, we mean we’ve pulled them apart, rebuilt them, and replaced them in hundreds of homes just like yours.

We’re not a manufacturer-authorized dealer. We’re an independent service provider, which means we give you straight answers about your ECO windows without a sales quota hanging over our heads. My name’s on the business. That means the job doesn’t end when we pull out of your driveway.

As part of our work across the wider Westchester service area, we’ve learned exactly how ECO frames behave after a decade of salt-laden air, afternoon downpours, and the relentless UV that eats powder coat. That local experience means faster diagnostics and fewer return trips.

Common ECO Window Systems Windows & Doors Problems We Solve in Westchester

  • Chalking and corroded powder coat on welded corners. ECO’s standard white powder coat oxidizes and chalks along welded corners on canal-front and east-side Westchester streets within 5 to 7 years. Owners see white streaks running down the frame and assume the window is leaking. It’s usually cosmetic, but if we catch it early we can strip, treat, and color-match the coating before the aluminum underneath starts pitting.
  • Sagging sashes on ECO 4300 single hungs. The balance springs on original 1980s and 1990s 4300 installations weaken under repeated UV exposure. The sash creeps down or won’t stay open. This is a classic Westchester problem because our sun is brutal year-round, not just in summer. We stock replacement balances for the 4300 so repairs usually happen in one visit.
  • Missing weep-hole covers and internal track corrosion. ECO’s original weep-hole covers pop off and disappear, especially on south-facing walls that get hammered by afternoon storms. Water pools inside the frame, sits there, and corrodes the internal aluminum tracks. On Southwest 17th Street, our tech pulled an original ECO 5500 horizontal roller whose internal track had corroded so badly from years of sprinkler overspray that the sash dropped out of the frame. We fabricated a new heavy-wall track in-house, reinstalled the sash with stainless rollers, and resealed the stucco buck with SikaFlex, then the homeowner had us quote a full seven-opening swap to ECO impact units before hurricane season hit.
  • Fogged glass on non-impact ECO sliders. Westchester’s humidity is relentless, and homes with whole-house AC create large indoor-outdoor temperature swings that flex seals until they crack. Non-impact ECO sliders develop fogged glass and brittle compression seals faster here than almost anywhere else in Miami-Dade. Fogged glass means the seal has failed and the insulated unit is done. We replace the glass, not the whole window, whenever the frame is still sound.
  • Jalousie-to-impact conversions on original openings. A huge share of Westchester’s older CBS homes still have original louvered jalousie windows with zero impact resistance. Miami-Dade insurers are flagging these for surcharges or outright cancellation. This is the single most common job category in the neighborhood, and we’ve converted hundreds of jalousie openings to NOA-listed ECO impact units.

ECO Window Systems Service in Westchester: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s something that’s true in Westchester and basically nowhere else within 20 miles: your 1950s to 1970s CBS ranch is already non-conforming on jalousie windows, so any new ECO Window Systems product has to achieve a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA), not just a Florida Building Code approval. That regulation simply doesn’t exist for the same job across the county line in Broward’s Pembroke Pines. What that means for you as an ECO owner is that every replacement or retrofit we do in Westchester starts with the NOA paperwork. We verify the product approval, pull the permit, and make sure the installation matches the tested assembly. Skip that step and your insurance company can deny a claim after the next storm. We don’t skip it. Ever. This is the difference between a window that looks right and a window that’s actually legal, insurable, and rated for the wind loads we get here.

ECO Window Systems Models & Products We Service in Westchester

We service the full ECO Window Systems residential lineup you’re most likely to find in Westchester homes: the ECO 4300 single hung, ECO 5500 horizontal roller, ECO 7600 casement, and ECO 9800 sliding glass door. For repairs, we stock common ECO rollers, balances, and corner keys so most service calls in Westchester happen in a single visit. When OEM components are discontinued, we machine-fabricate replacements from 6061 aluminum stock and color-match the powder coat in-house. We’re also honest when a repair doesn’t make sense: units over 15 years old with multiple failed seals are usually more cost-effective to replace with current NOA-listed Impact Windows - Westchester ECO models than to rebuild piece by piece.

ECO Window Systems Service Pricing in Westchester

Service calls in Westchester typically run $95 to $185 for diagnosis, and most common repairs, like a balance swap or roller replacement, fall between $150 and $400 per opening. Full jalousie-to-impact conversions on a standard Westchester ranch generally range from $1,800 to $3,500 per opening depending on opening size, stucco work, and which NOA-listed ECO product you choose. Every estimate includes the permit, the NOA verification, and a written line-item breakdown. Call (863) 251-5864 and we’ll come out, inspect what you’ve got, and give you a real number, free.

What Neighbors Say About Winslow Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"The old aluminium sliders howled every afternoon storm and swelter came straight through the glass. The new impact sliders shut with a sound like a bank vault and the back rooms finally hold their temperature."

PPercival Whitcombe
★★★★★

"We sat out a hurricane behind the windows Ed put in. The gusts threw a neighbour's trampoline down the street and the loudest thing in our house was the kettle. I rang him after to say thank you and he answered his own phone, same as always."

TThaddeus Okonkwo
★★★★★

"He replaced the front door and the garage door in the same week, both rated for impact, and lined the frames up so straight my level had nothing to say. My wife stopped hearing the highway from the front room."

MMaximilian Vasquez
★★★★

"Excellent work and a fair price for what it is, though impact glass is never cheap and one bedroom window arrived with a scratched pane. Ed flagged it before I saw it and the replacement went in without me chasing anyone."

BBartholomew Crenshaw
★★★★★

"Ed measured every opening himself and walked me through the product approval paperwork before I signed anything. When the inspector came he found the notice of acceptance taped inside a window like it should be and passed us first visit."

RRosalind Beaumont
★★★★

"The installation was clean and the windows are beautiful. The factory took about six weeks to deliver the units, which Ed told me upfront, but living behind plywood-framed openings in the meantime still tested my patience."

GGuadalupe Zamorano
★★★★★

"A tile roof repair and new windows from the same company meant one crew, one permit runner, and nobody blaming the other trade. Ed checked the roof work himself before the tarp came off."
